Bon Temps

These are from the Diesel xXx Party at Pier 3 in Brooklyn Heights, the LSF show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg, the Yelle show at Webster Hall, and Banksy's new Pet Store in the Village. There's also a video of Franz Ferdinand playing Take Me Out at the Diesel thing.

I've been kind of sick this past week, but that hardly stopped me from going out. I helped DJ the Chairlift/Violens show at the Danbro Studios Warehouse in Bushwick on Friday, made a new model friend, went to a Chinese Zodiac party on Saturday, and brunch at 202 in Chelsea yesterday.

True Blood is my new favorite show. I caught up on the first 5 episodes while i was taking my sick days from work last week, but last night's episode was the best yet. Lizzy Caplan joined the cast (a dead ringer for the extremely hot Zooey Deschanel) and they played a Japanther during the bar scene at Fangtasia. So thats 2 more reasons to watch. Deerhoof at Spiegelworld tomorrow, CMJ all week, We Versus The Shark Friday. Minus the Bear Saturday. Cheers.

Le Royale

This is another catch-up post. These are from the Green Label launch party w/ Matt & Kim, The Cool Kids, and Flosstradamus; The French Kicks & Pinback shows at Bowery; No Big Deal at Alphabeta; These Are Powers & Marnie Stern at the Silent Barn, Vivian Girls & Dark Meat on the Rocks Off Booze Cruise; Ellen's Bday party at Legion; and my daytrip to It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. And theres a video from the Hot Chip show that we went to at the Trocadero Theatre in Philly.

Also, I met Syd Butler from Les Savy Fav last night. He was at the Vice/Kangol anniversary party at Le Royale in the West Village. Passion Pit and Hollywood Holt were playing, and the Pit is on his Frenchkiss label, so I guess he was there for moral support. Which they needed b/c their drums and micromaphones were breaking down all over the place, but they still put on a good show. LSF and Mans Mans this weekend, and maybe that ridiculous Diesel xXx party if I can snag some tickets tomorrow morning. That is all. Cheers.
